There is no cost for the seminars, which will be held monthly on the second Wednesday of each month, at Sonoma Valley Hospital in the Administrative Conference Room, from 5:30 pm till 7:00 pm, beginning Wednesday, January 11.

The informational seminars will be led by Scott Perryman, MD, a board certified surgeon trained in Advanced Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery at Stanford University. He will explain the different types of procedures offered and share recent findings of evidence-based metabolic changes the procedure has produced.

Attendees will learn about the process of qualifying for, and undergoing, bariatric surgery, including pre- and post-surgical support, lifestyle and nutrition education provided, and assistance in obtaining insurance coverage. There will be an opportunity to ask questions.
