Sonoma Valley Hospital’s “Conversation With A Doctor” Series Will Discuss Kidney Stone Treatments

Urologist Adam Kaplan, MD, will lead the upcoming Sonoma Valley Hospital information session, “Conversation With A Doctor,” discussing advances in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney stones in his talk,  “Kidney Stones: At the Crossroads of Technology and Modern Medicine.”

Dr. Kaplan is a board-certified Urologist, fellowship trained in Endourology and Robotic Surgery. He received his medical degree and residency training at the University Of California Irvine School Of Medicine, and completed his fellowship at Duke University.  Specialty areas include prostate cancer, kidney cancer, complex kidney stone disease and men’s health.

“We are going to discuss the amazing advances in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of kidney stones,” said Dr. Kaplan. “We will review the latest imaging techniques, the why and how of kidney stone formation, and the newest minimally invasive ways we can remove kidney stones including lasers, shock waves, fiber optics, digital imaging and robotics, we’ll cover it all!”
