Understanding the P.O.L.S.T.
An interactive workshop (in-person or virtual) will be held twice on:

Early Evening: 5:30 pm to 6:30pm
What is the “Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment” (POLST) document and why might you need one? The POLST outlines a patient’s wishes regarding resuscitation measures if they are needed. We encourage everyone 18 years older to attend including families, partners, caregivers, and healthcare providers. Presenters include the Hospital’s Medical Director for Emergency Care, Dr. Jasper Schmidt, as well as Sage Conlon, Medical Social Worker (SVH), and Rob Matheson, Community Liaison (By The Bay Health). The workshop is a collaboration between By The Bay Health, Vintage House, and Sonoma Valley Hospital.

In-person sessions will be held at Vintage House, 264 1st Street East, Sonoma, and seating is limited – so sign-up early.

Shoulder Health and Range of Motion
SAVE THE DATE! Friday, June 17, 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
Orthopedic Surgeon Paul B. Roache, MD will discuss how repetition and aging can have an impact on our shoulders and the muscles and tendons that support them. Rotator cuff injury is the most common cause of shoulder pain, particularly for those over the age of 30. Fortunately there are ways to prevent rotator cuff injuries and new ways to repair them and restore their functioning.
