Christopher Voscopoulos, MD, MBA, MS, FCCP
Dr. Voscopoulos is board certified in Anesthesiology, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine through the American Board of Anesthesiology, Transesophageal Echocardiography through the National Board of Echocardiography, Addiction Medicine through the American Board of Preventive Medicine, board eligible in Critical Care Echocardiography through the National Board of Echocardiography (pending certification in 2019), and board eligible in Neurocritical Care (pending certification in 2020) . He is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. He earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. During medical school, he completed a prestigious 2-year research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health where he studied molecular genetics. Upon graduation, he completed his internship in Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine, his residency in Anesthesia at the University of California San Francisco and Emory University School of Medicine, and his fellowships in Critical Care and Pain Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. While at Harvard University he won the prestigious fellow of the year award.
Dr. Voscopoulos also completed his Master’s in Business Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Health Sector Finance and Management from Duke University and is a graduate of the California Healthcare Foundation, University of California San Francisco, Healthcare Leadership Fellowship. He is currently studying Law at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Lastly, Dr. Voscopoulos holds a Master’s Degree in Maharishi Ayurvedic and Integrative Medicine from Maharishi University of Management.
He is the president of Medical Specialists Associates, a multispecialty multi-state medical group based out of Northern California. Dr. Voscopoulos believes in applying the best tools from economics and organizational behavior to create a working environment that naturally brings out the best clinical care at the lowest costs possible. He also strives to integrate complimentary and integrative medical approaches to preventive disease states and to reduce costs in the management of chronic diseases. He is passionate about playing a leading role in helping to solve our current opioid epidemic.Education
